Caterpillar Mens Trademark Vest, Black, Review I work in the mining sector and I am a fan of rugged, tough and construction-esque type clothing. I have wanted a vest for some time and the only other vest provided by Caterpillar (CAT) is the puffer vest, which is just too puffy for me, it makes my body too much out of proportion and the light fabric on it makes it easy to tare. I just could not feel comfortable with the puffer vest.
Great Vest, But Runs Small It’s a great looking vest, it’s well made, looks nice, seems like it will be warm enough, but the sizing is off. I wear a size large jacket, so I assumed this would fit like a large, but it doesn’t. It’s basically skin tight with only a t-shirt under it, and the collar is very tight against your neck. A few more issues is how the vest is put together. The padding in the back stops at the midback/shoulder blades, and the lack of padding above that creates a tightness against your shoulders…
not quite what i was looking for i was trying to replace my old vest, made by wrangler. this is a cold weather, “puff” vest with four pockets — side hand warmer pockets beneath cargo pockets — while i was looking for a more moderately insulated vest with more pockets — a place to stash my checkbook, a pencil pocket, another for a notepad, etc.
