Kept me warm in the arctic I bought this for a trip to the arctic of Finland. The small should be called medium but that’s how all of Columbia’s jackets are it seems. I already knew this when ordering but didn’t mind as I was going to be wearing at least a couple layers of clothing underneath it. This jacket is not very thick but is surprisingly warm. Great jacket, especially for the price! I thought this was a fantastic jacket to ski in this year. I was able to ski about 20 times with this particular jacket in all kinds of conditions. This jacket held up to all the wear and tear of a full year of skiing. Full disclosure, I don’t believe the outer shell will hold up well against dead, broken and jagged branches if you do a lot of glade or off piste skiing.
