Helmet-compatible hood without drawstrings?!? I applaud Columbia for making one of the few traditional (non-membrane) softshells on the market! It’s a dying breed, and that’s a tragedy. While I don’t love all the details, the features and their execution are solid enough with one glaring exception: the hood.Big enough to swallow a helmet with an unusually wide cut, the only tool to tame this bucking bronco of an opening is one little Velcro tab on the back. Great Fall Jacket For Michigan Weather I have worn this jacket all week while coaching football and I am completely satisfied. The first day it was windy and got cold as the sun went down.
