Perfect and cheap solution – durable and dry. Cheap, durable, and effective. My much more expensive waterproof shell from REI was destroyed by minimal wear and tear while on a trip to iceland – and this happened to be my backup. Turns out, it works a million times better than most high end versions. This is now my go-to for hiking and camping trips.

PERFECT SHELL SKI JACKET! I received this jacket last week and took it up to the (Colorado) high country for a day of x-country skiing and snowshoeing yesterday. It worked wonderfully well as a shell over my middle and inner layers. The wind was constantly whipping the snow (15-30 mph) at us and this jacket kept the wind and flying snow off of me.
