initial impressions I got this for motorcycle rain gear. I already had bib level pants with suspenders, but needed something to keep the water out of my leather jacket. Have not used it yet, but here are some things to know:

A little short for tall people I bought these for a canoe trip. I got a good chance to test them out since it rained almost every day of the 2 week trip. I love how light weight this jacket is and it was definitely durable enough. My issue was that it was too short – otherwise it fit fine. I also had the frogtog pants and even though I kept hiking them up . .my butt, upper thighs and lower back got pretty wet. I’m 6’2″ tall so if you’re shorter it might be a non-issue. Other than being a bit short, I really liked…

A great and effective inexpensive rain jacket A great and effective inexpensive rain jacket. Absolutely water proof and does a nice job blocking cold wind. My only complaint is it’s noisy. If you are a hunter I’d consider something else, as your prey will hear your rain jacket crunching and crackling a mile away.
