The Minimalist jacket also features fully taped seams to prevent leaks, a storm flap to protect the front zipper, and an attached hood that adjusts for better facial coverage. If interior heat should begin to build up, simply open the PitZips—zippered ventilation openings under the arms—to increase air flow. Your arms will retain full mobility through it all, thanks to the built-in Angel-Wing Movement.

Marmot Minimalist Gore-Tex Paclite Jacket I put it on and immediately it became my favorite jacket. I am replacing an older Marmot that I burned a hole in the sleeve on a camping trip. It kept me dry MANY times, so I had no doubts about purchasing another Marmot. It rained the first day I got this jacket and worked like a charm. Great! I use this jacket to commute by bike to work, and I’ve had it for about a month. For biking specifically, it’s really great – it has a slim fit so that it isn’t blowing in the wind, it has nice long sleeves (I have long arms and so my wrists end up cold if I’m riding a bike), and the hood tucks nicely behind your head so that it doesn’t catch the wind.
